What's going on in our Community

SERVPRO of McMinn, Monroe and Polk Counties

SERVPRO of McMinn, Monroe, and Polk Counties takes great pride in being a part of our Counties community. We understand that communities like ours hold America together. We want to do our part to ensure the McMinn, Monroe, and Polk counties community thrive by helping those less fortunate, keeping the area safe and making our community the best it can be.

To kick off the school season, we hosted a Back To School Food Drive. All the proceeds went to the local Back Sacks Program hosted by Tennessee Wesleyan University. We were able to raise over $500 in non-perishable food items that went to local families in need.

We are proud to partner with State Farm's Sharon Brown to sponsor children this Christmas with The H.O.P.E. Center in Athens, TN. The H.O.P.E. Center provides services for children who are victims of sexual and physical abuse. We are working closely with State Farm and the H.O.P.E. Center to ensure these children have the Christmas they deserve this year by purchasing toys, clothes, and other necessities that Santa can deliver at Christmas.

SERVPRO® of McMinn, Monroe, and Polk Counties, a local cleanup and restoration company, announced today it has partnered with the local Toys for Tots program. We will be a drop off location for toys that will be going to kids in the local community in time for Christmas.

“We’re excited to be partnering with this amazing charity. There is nothing better than giving children the chance to have a special Christmas, and that’s exactly what we’re helping happen,” said John Fowler owner of SERVPRO® of McMinn, Monroe, and Polk Counties.

“We’re proud to be part of this community, and this is our way to give back after so much has been given to us.”

The objectives of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation are the same as those of the overall Toys for Tots program: i.e. –  to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to improving communities in the future.

“We’re asking the community to come together this Christmas season to support such a wonderful cause.”
